My collection is complete

Pax Arcana

A recent auction of original movie props raked in more than $3.5 million last week, as buyers ponied up thousands for items such as Marlon Brando’s outfit from the original Superman movie (I think he played a building) and Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine costume.

The item that fetched the largest sum, however, was the lightsaber used by Luke Skywalker in the first two Star Wars movies — which fetched $240,000 from an anonymous bidder.

In other news, my uncle Owen says I’d better have those units in the South Ridge repaired by midday — or there will be hell to pay.

I find your lack of faith disturbing.

Lightsaber: $240,000. Satisfaction: Priceless. [NYT]
